Drawings

Georgia is fond of intuitive and organic forms of mark-making and collage. She often draws into monotypes as a way to generate a rapid and expressive creative dialogue alongside her murals and prints.

All of her prints start out as rough chalk, pencil and pastel sketches. She carries small newsprint notebooks with her everywhere filled with thoughts, visual observations and these initial hand-drawn designs. The compositions are then often worked up into larger designs digitally, allowing her to separate the colour layers for many of her finished prints.
